Mahindra and Mahindra Finance’s standalone net profit increased 54.8 per cent to ₹882 crore in the quarter ended September 2026, as against ₹569.3 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company’s net interest income (NII) increased 17.3 per cent to ₹2822 crore in the reporting quarter, as against ₹2,406 crore in the same quarter last year. The NBFC’s net interest margin (NIM) was stable at 7 per cent in the recently concluded quarter, compared with the same period last fiscal.

The NBFC’s standalone assets under management (AUM) increased 15 per cent to ₹1,46,512 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2027. This number was ₹1,27,246 crore in the year-ago period. A large part of the net profit performance came from provisions and write-offs that were cut 16 per cent to ₹630 crore in Q2 FY27, from about ₹751 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal.

To be sure, the net profit without providing for provisions increased by just 20 per cent to ₹1,791 crore in the reporting quarter. In the previous fiscal, the number was ₹1,499 crore.

The NBFC improved on the asset quality parameter. The gross stage 2 and gross stage 3 loans as a share of all loans reduced to 8.1 per cent in the recently concluded fiscal, as against 9.7 per cent the same quarter last fiscal. Gross stage 2 refers to loans due repayment for 31 to 89 days and Gross stage three are those which are due repayment more more than 90 days.
